In my honest opinion Karr security is the worst system to have. all of those systems have the stupid ass press connections. that just cut through the insulation and try to make contact with the wires. I would recommend a quality security system from a well known stereo shop like audio express or what ever you have out there.

I'd say buy the car and unplug the Karr box. Best of both worlds at this (too-late) point. Too late because it's already there, and as others have said, removing it and the wiring may introduce problems that don't currently exist.
